Brow Lift Surgery
Our state of the art clinics all over the UK offer consultations on brow lift surgery. Often performed as part of a facelift procedure or an upper eyelid operation. When the eyebrows start to droop a brow lift is performed. As you get older skin naturally begins to lose elasticity, wrinkles on the forehead can become more prominent and increase over time which is why brow lift surgery is a very popular procedure and all of our clinics have great experience in.
Brow lift surgery – what actually happens?
If you are looking for a smoother look between the eyebrows and the hairline, brow lift surgery could be the answer. These procedures can be carried out in several ways, our consultants will assess and discuss with you the recommended procedure that will best suit your situation and face. The surgery is usually performed under general anaesthetic, keyhole surgery is also very popular. Both procedures are designed to lift the forehead area giving the patient that younger look. Incisions are made whilst all scarring will be hidden in the hairline.
You may need to spend a night or two in our hospital following the operation where you will be given any pain relief as you may suffer from bruising and swelling on the forehead and upper eyelid area. Our staff are trained to the very highest standards and the hospital will make your stay as comfortable as possible. Once you are at home you can expect to see and feel some swelling, this should be back to normal in a couple of weeks. Any stitches will be removed by our aftercare team in the Glasgow clinic 4-7 days after the procedure. Every patient is different so make sure to discuss how soon you can wash your hair and when you can return to work. Most patients should not lift anything heavy or do anything strenuous in the first few weeks after brow lift surgery.
